Support Me

It's year SIX! Looking to raise another $6,000 this year...

In the last five years, you all have helped me raised over $17,000 for the Tri for a Cure! This year, I am participating in my 6th Tri for a Cure, continuing my mission to support those that I love and support this community in Maine. Last year I landed in the 14th spot for overall fundraising.

This past year, my family and the Sugarloaf community lost a dear friend - Bob Brickley. I called him the King of the Community, because that's what he was. He continued to support and volunteer with the Sugarloaf community, despite battling liver cancer. He was an inspiration in so many ways, but his profound kindess leaves a gaping hole in our hearts. This year's for Bob.

Each year, I share my story about my grandmother, Adrienne Newell, who passed away in June 2018.  In the early 80's, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She overcame her battle and had her last chemo treatment in the spring of 1985. Over the next 33 years, she was able to live past her breast cancer to see her family grow through 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Now, I have threeaunts that are experiencing their own journeys with cancer - Joanne Wetzel, Sharon Muschamp, and Sheila Muschamp. We recently lost Elaine Beaumont, my grandmother's best friend and one of my pen pals, too. Sadly, we all know more people who are diagnosed with different stages and types of cancer each year. As our friends and loved ones try to overcome their battles, we are here to support them through the Tri for a Cure.

Every dollar counts! With your support, we can make a difference! Cancer tries but we TRI harder!
