Support me in the fight against cancer!

This year I am beyond grateful to be participating in the 17th Annual Maine Cancer Foundation Tri for a Cure. I have committed and begun to train by swimming, strength training, biking and "walking".

This year, I also want to honor Beth Birch, my first Triathlon Coach, who truly helped me find my inner athlete!!!  Thank you, BETH!  Until I turned 60, I had lived quite a sedentary lifestyle.  Just before my 60th birthday, I went to the Y to find a trainer who would help me learn to run safely.  During my first session, Beth suggested I train for a triathlon.  I totally rejected that suggestion, but less than a year later, I became a Triathlete!  I am forever grateful to Beth Birch for helping me discover an athletic part of me I never knew was there!!!
