I have been participating in the Maine Cancer Foundation Twilight 5K as long as they have allowed men to run. I do this along with raising donations for them.
My wife, Holly has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She fought the intial battle in 2008 and in 2014 it came back attacking her bones. She is doing well right now, but we are always on the rollercoaster ride wondering when the next steep decent will be. As I write this, we are in the hospital getting scans to restage the cancer and have an MRI tomorrow.
UPDATE 5/1/2017: MRI came back positive for new lesions in the brain. Another MRI today showed something an the tail of her spinal cord. Another MRI tomorrow with more detail. It is hitting home. Your donations will help.
This fundraising event is the only one that I participate in. Most of the funds collected by this event stay in Maine. I have great friends that have donated well in the past. I hope that I can count on you again. Please help with any amount of you can.
