Actually, a lot of people need your help! Beating a cancer diagnosis requires support from a team of medical professionals, scientist and especially friends and family like you! That’s why I am asking for your help.
I want to do my part to make cancer a thing of the past, which is why I am participating in my sixth consecutive year in the Tri for a Cure, a women-only triathlon. This year I will be participating as part of a relay team, TEAM TUMORNATORS. Not only will I be biking 15.5 miles of rolling hills, I am working to raise money to help beat this terrible disease and support those suffering from it. I am committed to raising a minimum of $6,000, and I need your help to achieve this goal.
I am dedicating my race to my mother, Pam (a.k.a., “Mad-damn-P”) and her courageous battle against this unrelenting disease. My motivation comes from the journey my family and I have been on since my mom’s diagnosis of breast cancer in 2009. I’ve had the opportunity to see how advances in research and support programs have helped the many victims and families of cancer, including my own. After being disease free for almost two years, we regrettably learned her cancer was back, only now in her lymph node, uterus and lungs. Despite this, I’ve seen how new, innovative medicine and technology have transformed the treatment of the disease, giving my mother a 2nd chance at life.
Please join me in this fight against cancer by making a contribution today. In return, I promise to put everything I’ve got into finishing strong! Thank you in advance for your support!
