It's time to gear up for Tri for a Cure 2017!! This will be my 8th Tri, and I can't wait for my favorite day of the year.
The Tri for a Cure has a special place in my heart because my mom passed away from lung cancer 2 days after I finished my first Tri in 2009. Since then, I've raised over $50,000 for Maine Cancer Foundation to help fund research, prevention, early detection, and patient experience programs across the state.
The Tri for a Cure is more than just a sprint triathlon. It's an amazing, supportive community of women helping each other to train for what might be a first-time endurance event, create fundraising opportunities, and develop life-long friendships while fighting this devastating illness in Maine.
The Challenge Cancer 2020 initiative at MCF is focused on reducing cancer incidence and mortality by 20% in our state by the year 2020. Please help fund this important work and make a donation today!
