I'm quite ambivalent about this (not the fund-raising, but the racing), but hey, we don't grow if we don't push ourselves -- so this year I'll be participating in the 11th annual Maine Cancer Foundation Tri for a Cure. As you well know, cancer has touched my life in a multitude of ways and although I biked as a team member a number of years ago (shout out to Paula & Molly!) this year I'm attempting the whole race on my own. It feels like the right move after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2017. Maine Cancer Foundation is committed to reducing cancer incidence and mortality rates in Maine, with 100% of funds raised by the Foundation used to benefit the people of Maine. MCF's Challenge Cancer 2020 initiative is working to reduce cancer incidence and mortality in Maine 20% by 2020 through prevention, screening and early detection, and access to the highest quality care for every Mainer.
Every dollar counts! Please consider a donation. Big thanks.
