The 11th annual Tri for a Cure is in July of 2018, it will be my 6th. I can't believe it has been 6 years since my first TFAC. I started participating in honor of my dad, Wes Jordan, who I lost to pancreatic cancer in 2002 at the young age of 64. I was born and raised in Maine, as was my dad. This year I have set my fundraising goal at $16,000........it will be 16 years in February that my did has been gone. This race holds a very special place in my heart, raising money for Maine Cancer Foundation, and fighting the horrible disease that took my dad from me. Cancer has touched my family again with my mom's diagnosis of breast cancer a few years ago. I am happy to say she is a survivor. I know too many people that have been touched by cancer, friends, family, co-workers.....and my husbands family has also been touched by it. I have met some of the most incredible, strong, caring and just plain awesome people through this race....and I have had the blessing of doing this race with my cousin Kate and my sister Teri in the past 4-5 years. Together we race, together we Tri, together we are helping find cures and provide care for those touched by cancer. This year I dedicate my race to EVERYONE touched by this disease...and I will again carry the names of those I race for as I run. We will beat cancer together! I need your help.
Support me in the fight against cancer.
Every dollar counts! Please consider a donation. Cancer tries but we TRI harder!
