Team Captain Go Away Cancer Twilight 5K - 2017

  • I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in late 2005 when I was 26 years old. After 9 months of chemo, an autologous stem cell transplant, and radiation, I was finally declared cancer free in early 2007. I've been thankful enough to continue receiving a clean bill of health and I'm looking forward to my 10 year anniversary check up a few weeks after this race on June 26!!!
  • I will be forever grateful to my amazing team of doctors and nurses who cared for me at Mass General. They are the reason I am here today! And they are the reason that I was lucky enough to have my daughter in 2010.
  • I am running to help beat cancer in Maine, as it has affected way too many of my loved ones, and to continue my own healthy lifestyle so that I can remain cancer free.
  • Thank you to everyone who donates - no matter what the amount. It's the little things that we all do that make such a huge impact. I continue to be amazed at the support I receive from my friends, family, and even those I don't know well.
