This years marks Tri for a Cure's 17th year. After participating in Tri for a Cure for the past 15 years as an athlete and Fundraising Angel, I will follow Julie Marchese as she retires this year and this will officially be my last year.
The Tri has been a huge part of my life, and created memories that I treasure.
My husband has experienced many benefits from the monies raised by this event for cancer prevention, early detection and access to care. Having experienced three cancers: thyroid, melanoma and prostate, the treatments he received have worked! He continues to live life to the fullest: skiing, traveling and spending time with our children and grandchildren, walking, biking and enjoying every day.
As this is my last year, I would like to honor Julie Marchese. Julie is a Founder and our fearless Race Director, and she set the bar high in creating an event that has raised over $20 million in the fight against cancer!
My goal has always been to raise as much money as I can, and with your help and in honoring, Julie I would like to go out big. Together we can make a difference!
